2026–2027 · Proposed Revised Schedule, Pending Board Approval

This fee schedule is adopted annually by the IEA Board of Directors. All fees are optional unless otherwise noted. No student will be denied participation due to inability to pay.

Hardship waiver requests may be submitted to the Executive Director at hlong@igniteutah.org.

General Information

  1. All fees listed are the maximum amount charged per student for each description listed.

  2. The amount specified for travel, accommodations, and experiential activities in junior high school represents the total amount that may be spent per student, whether from student contributions, fundraising activities, or donations.

  3. Any payment for a required student fee is subject to the fee waiver requirement.

  4. Any payment required for participation in an after-school extracurricular program is optional and not subject to the fee waiver requirement.

  5. For information on fee waivers and other details, contact your school administrator.

  6. All students are responsible to pay for any loss, breakage, or damage they cause to school property. Loss, breakage, or damage is not subject to the fee waiver requirement.

  7. Donations are permissible in both elementary and secondary schools; all such requests are voluntary. A student may not be excluded from an activity or program because they did not donate.

  8. Field trip fees for optional off-campus experiences cover transportation and entry/admission costs only. Students who do not attend will participate in a meaningful in-school alternative activity. Fee waivers are available upon request and all requests are confidential.

Firebird Athletics Participation Fees

IEA is joining the Utah Charter and Small School Athletic League (UCSSAL) for SY 2026–27, offering competitive athletics to grades 6–8 students across seven sports, as long as there are enough participants to field a team. Participation fees are optional and cover program oversight, uniforms, and UCSSAL-assigned game officials.

General Provisions

Provision

Fee Waiver / Hardship

Any family may request a fee waiver by submitting a written request to the Executive Director. No student will be identified, denied access, or treated differently based on fee waiver status.

Payment Methods

Fees may be paid via cash, check (payable to IEA), or online through the school's payment portal. Receipts will be provided for all payments.

Refund Policy

General fees are non-refundable after 30 days. Athletics fees are non-refundable after the first scheduled contest unless a student is unable to participate due to documented medical reasons.

Utah Code Compliance

This fee schedule is adopted in compliance with Utah Code §53G-7-504 (school fees) and IEA's Board-adopted Fee Policy. No student may be charged a fee for a required educational activity.

Annual Review

This schedule is reviewed and re-adopted by the Board of Directors annually.

This is a proposed revised schedule, pending Board approval. Figures may change before final adoption.
