IEA is committed to transparency in our curriculum selection and adoption process. Parents and community members have the right to review all instructional materials used in our educational programs.

We believe that open communication about our educational resources strengthens the partnership between school and families in supporting student success.

Our Transparency Process

IEA follows a comprehensive process to ensure parents and community members have access to information about our instructional materials and curriculum adoption procedures.

Annual Notification

Each August, families receive an email outlining how to access instructional materials used at IEA. This page serves as the ongoing public posting referenced in statute.

Adoption & Public Meetings

Our transparent adoption process ensures community input and board oversight for all instructional materials.

Supplemental Materials

Educators may select supplemental materials that enrich the adopted curriculum and meet student needs. Per statute, supplemental materials (not adopted by the Board) are selected using educator professional judgment and are not subject to the Board adoption process. IEA maintains guidance for educators on appropriate selection and use of supplemental materials.
