🏆 Firebird Athletics Participation Fees
IEA is joining the Utah Charter and Small School Athletic League this year. Sport participation fees range from $60–$100 depending on the sport and season, and cover uniforms, league registration, and officials. See the full schedule, season dates, and registration deadlines on the Athletics page.
Special Note: Student Spirit Shirts
Please read before purchasing a new spirit shirt this year.
You may not need to buy a new shirt this year!
IEA will be using the same student spirit shirts and colors for each grade level again this school year.
If your child's shirt from last year still fits and they are still in the same grade band as last year, they do not need to purchase a new one.
If your child has moved into a new grade band, or their shirt no longer fits, the $10 Apparel Fee applies and is required, since it covers required activity and field trip apparel for the year.
Fee Waivers & Financial Assistance
No student will be denied participation in a school activity due to inability to pay. If paying student fees would be a hardship for your family, a fee waiver may be available.
You may qualify for a fee waiver if:
- Your student qualifies for the Federal Free or Reduced-Price Lunch Program
- Your family participates in WIC, SNAP, TANF, Medicaid, or CHIP
- Your student is in foster care, kinship placement, or state custody
- Your student is experiencing homelessness (McKinney-Vento eligible)
- A parent/guardian is on active military deployment creating financial hardship
- Your family is facing another documented financial hardship
You only need to meet one qualifying criterion, and documentation is not required unless requested in writing. All applications are kept confidential.
